Mural on Third Street October 20, 2012 Amy Kollar Anderson This mural is located on the South side of Third Street, just West of Keowee (Across from Atta Girl Studios) in Dayton, OH. 2012 Concept sketch View from my mural on Third Street of some of the other murals going in at the same time. Here you can see Channel 7 interviewing some of us. Roughed onto the wall. I had done the drawing to scale, but the space was not the same dimensions, so I just winged it. Blocking in color. That beast was huge! First day's progress. Day two, must establish her personality. I wanted the farmer to be earthy and welcoming. Establishing her hair. It was tough to get the lines to flow nicely, since they had to be done in sections and around the ladder. End of Day two. Roughed in my name in case anyone wanted to know. More work to go... Started work on the veggies. Happy to be off the ladder for a few! Some silly cows started. Making progress on the veggie basket. Getting some more highlights down and tweaking the face a bit. Finished veggie basket. Finished cows and sig. Finished face. Finished! My first mural is located at the Garden Station. Have you seen her? If not, you can see the progress images of the mural HERE. Lisa Helm of Garden Station came by and got some in progress shots. Much thanks to her for organizing the mural project.
